The SW Washington Chapter of Credit Unions supports the NWCUA effort to be the unifying voice for credit unions in Olympia and Washington, D.C.  We support the the Association who works with state and federal policy makers, coalitions, and consumer groups to keep credit union powers strong, and give credit unions the opportunity to thrive.

We support advocacy for our member credit unions by:

  • Hosting an annual Legislative Dinner event for credit union volunteers and executives to have a platform to share industry-related information and concerns with local elected representatives and candidates
  • Legislative Breakfast (pre-funk) in February - an open forum for CU employees to learn more about CU Day at the Capital before the event
  • We partner with the NWCUA for shared training or networking events to promote credit union advocacy

If you have a heart for advocacy and want to help maintain the credit union philosophy, volunteer with the chapter today!  We're actively looking for volunteers in the area of Advocacy.
