Matching Values with Action:
What Sports Media and Fandom Can Teach Your Business about
DEI, Branding, and Sustainability
In a space oversaturated with content and brands all jockeying for position to sell you something,
it’s time for professionals to pause - take a breath - and get strategic.
it’s time for professionals to pause - take a breath - and get strategic.
Hear from Dr. Tunisha Singleton, Media Psychologist and Advocate for Community Impact, as she uses the sports media landscape as a lens to explore fandom, define commitment, and connect identity theory to the applied practice of building a holistic business strategy.
With a core focus on matching values with action, Dr. Singleton breaks down what companies can do to create sustainable culture and enjoyment around your brand - just like those rabid sports fans! The important practice of controlling what you can control is also demonstrated through her work with Black Girl Hockey Club, a non-profit organization which Dr. Singleton will integrate as an example of how inclusivity takes many forms but is always rooted in story.
This session is open to all dues-paying credit unions that participate in the SW WA Chapter of Credit Unions.
